Job summary

IQVIA MedTech seeks a Field Service Engineer Technician to install, test and service automated medical device systems across healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with design engineers, project managers and clinical staff to configure hardware, wiring and conveyors while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role includes travel to local, regional and national sites, per‑diem assignments, and paid training.

Qualifications

  • GCSE required.
  • Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience.
  • Professional business acumen and communication skills required.
  • Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel to identify equipment layout, operations, and workflow.
  • Ability to use hand & power tools, read schematics, and assemble components.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing, testing, and assembling automated medication dispensing systems; installation and configuring hardware.
  • Review schematics, drawings, documentation, and logistics to support installation activities.
  • Pre-assembly, building, and installation of conveyors, automated dispensers & related equipment.
  • Installation of pneumatic devices, RFID readers & sensors throughout conveyor system.
  • Commissioning of electronic/electrical systems and structured cabling installation.
  • Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality compliance requirements.
  • Partner with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.
  • Training for this role will be provided and is paid.

Job Responsibilities

    Travel Requirement
    • An active and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
    • Will have a personal vehicle and willing to use it for job related assignments.
    • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally weekly to support customer needs required.
    • Needs to be located within 30 miles of a major airport.
    • Travel, and your time traveling is paid, as is mileage.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Military veterans with experience in electronics related MOS
    • Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.
