Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Medicines Safety Officer to lead as the named individual for encouraging incident reporting and learning across the organisation.

You will work with the Pharmacy Governance and Safety Team, the Associate Director of Pharmacy, and senior managers to drive changes, improve reporting, and provide assurance to the Trust board on safe medicines practices.

Qualifications

• Expert in medicines safety and incident learning.
• Experience in risk management and governance.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead as chair of the Medication Safety Committee.
• Report to the Trust Medicines Optimisation Committee.
• Advise risk management on incident reporting improvements.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Governance and Safety Team and Associate Director of Pharmacy.
• Work with clinical and senior managers to improve patient safety.
