Job summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is launching a brand-new Pharmacy Hub at Swandean, Worthing, and is looking for an exceptional Specialist Pharmacy Technician for medicines safety, governance and informatics. This role sits at the heart of medicines safety, assurance and data analysis across wards and community teams.

You will lead incident reviews, audits and reporting, support controlled drugs governance and contribute to informatics projects, training and service improvement.

Qualifications

Experience in hospital pharmacy and medicines safety governance.
Knowledge of medicines safety, governance and informatics.
Professional registration with General Pharmaceutical Council.

Responsibilities

Provide medicines safety and governance support through incident review, risk register updates, audits and assurance reporting.
Support controlled drugs governance, including reports, audits and annual assurance requirements.
Maintain and analyse medicine-related datasets to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
Promote medicines optimisation culture and safe pharmacy practice across the Trust.
Line manage and supervise designated pharmacy staff within Trust processes.

NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services

BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent

Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
