Job description

Job overview

We are looking for Radiographers with a commitment to outstanding patient care and high-quality imaging to join our friendly and dynamic team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

We have an X-ray equipment replacement programme underway. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved at the inauguration.

Main duties of the job

You will undertake general, trauma, and fluoroscopic radiography examinations following departmental protocols, providing a high standard of imaging.

We are seeking good communicators with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team; someone with a proactive and flexible approach to provide the best care for our patients across the 24/7 service.

In return, we offer the opportunity to be part of a friendly, highly motivated, and supportive team, along with training and development to expand radiography competencies and support career progression. Training opportunities include CT, MRI, Cardiac Catheter Lab imaging, and Interventional Radiology.

We are a busy Radiology Department performing examinations in various modalities across two sites. The main facilities are at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH), with satellite services at Alton Community Hospital.

Working for our organisation

Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is central to our work across three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.

Our cultural ambition is to foster a culture that places people at the heart of all we do, where everyone belongs, and where learning, improvement, and excellence thrive.

We provide specialist services nationally and internationally. We are one of only two UK centres treating pseudomyxoma peritonei (a rare abdominal cancer) and are leaders in tertiary liver and colorectal cancers.

The trust employs over 9,000 staff with an annual turnover exceeding £500 million. As a Foundation Trust, we are accountable to our members through governors, who influence future plans.
