York Hospital Pharmacy department is recruiting a motivated Pharmacy Technician to work in the Medicines Management Team. You will join a large multi-disciplinary team, demonstrate excellent communication, and commit to ongoing professional development.
Recognised qualifications and GPhC registration are required, with induction provided. Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:45–17:15, plus weekends/Bank holidays on a rota basis.
York Hospital Pharmacy department are looking to recruit a well-motivated, forward-thinking professional that would like to work in the clinical Medicines Management Team.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. You will need to be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and be committed to continuous professional development.
You will need to hold a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, NVQ level 3 or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
We welcome applicants from pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians who are due to complete their course and be registered with the GPHC within the next six months.
A full induction and training will be provided to the successful candidate
Core service hours are Monday to Friday 08:45 – 17:15 and you will contribute to the weekend rota (roughly 1 in 8) and bank holiday rota (roughly 1 per year).

Your Role As An MMT Will Involve
