Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Medicines Information Pharmacist to lead and deliver the Medicines Information Service, providing expert advice to Trust staff, other organisations, patients and service users.

Based at the Frimley site, the post requires line management of a Band 7 Pharmacist and Band 5 Technician, development of staff, quality assurance, and training across pre-registration pharmacists and rotational pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Medicines Information services.
• Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
• Experience in clinical pharmacy practice and medicines information.
• Undertaking teaching/training of pharmacists and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the Medicines Information Service for the Trust.
• Provide expert advice to staff, patients and other service users.
• Line manage Band 7 Pharmacist and Band 5 Technician.
• Lead recruitment, management and development of staff.
• Ensure quality assurance and audits within the MI Department.
• Develop and maintain UKMi-aligned SOPs and resources.
• Lead the Patient Medicine Helpline and ensure adequate staffing.
