An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Medical Secretary to join our Cellular Pathology team. You will provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial support service, ensuring high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality secretarial and administrative support to consultants and the wider pathology team.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Maintain an organised and efficient approach to all duties.
  • Keep up to date with technological developments and develop skills in the use of current office technology (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail).
  • Work collaboratively within a small secretarial team to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Cellular Pathology is a branch of pathology that focuses on the study and diagnosis of diseases by examining cells and tissues under a microscope. It plays a crucial role in identifying abnormalities such as cancer, infections, and inflammatory conditions, supporting accurate diagnoses that guide patient treatment and care. There are a number of investments currently underway in Cellular Pathology, including the introduction of faster diagnostics. These developments will bring exciting changes for the whole department. You will be part of a small office team, so teamwork is essential in this role.
