The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic Medical Secretary to join their Oncology secretarial department. This role involves supporting the Medical Secretarial Team, managing waiting lists, and enhancing patient communication. Ideal candidates will possess clerical experience and excellent communication skills, and they will be adaptable to a fast-paced environment while receiving full training to excel in their roles.
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your visa. Applicants must also have at least six months remaining on their graduate visa at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to support the Medical Secretarial Team in delivering comprehensive administrative services, outlining new and efficient processes, and managing inpatient and outpatient waiting lists in accordance with the Patient Access Policy. The role involves communicating appointment and admission information to patients and carers, answering queries both verbally and in writing, typing correspondence within performance targets, and supporting the delivery of NHS targets.
This position is ideal for anyone with clerical experience in the NHS, though full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
