Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a Medical Sector Manager to lead complex medical product development projects and drive new business opportunities. You will coordinate mechanical, electronics, software and design teams to deliver products from concept to launch.

The role requires ISO 13485 experience, strong leadership and budgeting capabilities, and the ability to build strategic client relationships. The position involves UK and international events and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering medical product development projects within an ISO 13485 environment.
• Proven track record managing multidisciplinary projects and client relationships.
• Strong commercial and project management skills, including budgeting and quoting.
• Experience with CAE tools, manufacturing processes and materials, including high-volume processes such as injection moulding.
• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Design Engineering.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• A proactive, collaborative can-do attitude and commitment to high-quality work.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to commute to or relocate to Warwick.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex medical product development projects, managing scope, budget, timescales, quality and risk.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop proposals, quotes and project plans, and support new business development.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with strategic clients.
• Work closely with mechanical, electronics, software and design teams.
• Support our medical sector marketing strategy, including industry events, presentations and technical articles.
• Represent the company at UK and international medical industry events.
