A busy healthcare practice in Preston, UK is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Medical Secretary. The position involves providing essential administrative support to the healthcare team, requiring excellent communication skills and experience in a healthcare environment. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team. The role is up to 30 hours per week, with negotiable working days and times.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to become part of a forward thinking, dynamic and friendly practice located on the Fylde Coast.
This position would involve working within our established administration team as a Medical Secretary. The admin team work extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure that patients have a positive experience when they have contact with the practice and we are seeking an individual who will be able to further enhance this team.
The position will be for up to 30 hours a week. The working days and times can be negotiated for the right individual.
We are looking to enhance our current administration team with an enthusiastic and committed individual who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a team.
As a secretary and a member of the admin team you will need to be able to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills, be able to use your own initiative and be computer literate. The ideal candidate will have a confident telephone manner, and will posses the ability to work accurately, work both independently and as part of a team and with attention to detail.
They will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral service (ERS).
Fernbank Surgery is a busy practice which is made up of a team of 5 very versatile partners, who are supported by a host of salaried GPs, ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, practice nurses, health care assistants, phlebotomists, a management team and a pillar of administration and reception staff members. We are a close knit team that is able to work together efficiently and effectively to ensure that our patients receive an exemplary level of care and service from all that are part of team Fernbank.
