An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the Medical Research Unit.
We are looking for a highly motivated registered nurse with Hepatology experience to fill the role of Medical Research Nurse.

The post holder will work as part of a growing, enthusiastic team of administrators, research nurses, and other research staff as part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting the delivery of research projects.
We require a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in developing specific skills to be a research nurse. You will be self-motivated and driven to work alongside the clinical and administrative staff ensuring patients a service of the highest quality.

The Research Nurse is expected to support the management and leadership of the research nurses and administrative staff within the research team. S/he will have knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and legal frameworks related to the planning, undertaking, and closure of clinical research studies, including Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products, and therefore acts as a resource for staff, researchers, research participants, and patients. S/he will take a lead in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of a designated number of clinical research studies.
The Medical Research team leads on supporting Principal Investigators (PI) in the setup and delivery of research in the division of medicine. The team is based in the purpose-built Medical Research Unit. This facility offers the ability to conduct early and late-phase studies.
The Research Nurse will report to the Research Sister and the team is part of the division of medicine.
