Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator (EMIS Trained)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hourly Rate: £13.06
Working Hours: Between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (including one late evening per week)
We’re looking for a proactive and personable Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our friendly team at a highly regarded medical centre. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and healthcare support.
In this dual-role, you'll be a key point of contact for patients both face-to-face and over the phone, ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:Welcoming patients and visitors at reception with professionalism and warmth
Handling incoming calls, directing queries, and triaging appropriately
Scheduling and managing appointments using EMIS
Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and document management
Collaborating closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care
Providing accurate information to patients and responding to general enquiries
Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and patient-friendly
Previous experience in a receptionist role, ideally in a healthcare setting
EMIS system experience (required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in general office software and systems
A compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
