Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator (EMIS Trained)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hourly Rate: £13.06
Working Hours: Between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (including one late evening per week)

We’re looking for a proactive and personable Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our friendly team at a highly regarded medical centre. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and healthcare support.

In this dual-role, you'll be a key point of contact for patients both face-to-face and over the phone, ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk and behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming patients and visitors at reception with professionalism and warmth

  • Handling incoming calls, directing queries, and triaging appropriately

  • Scheduling and managing appointments using EMIS

  • Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and document management

  • Collaborating closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care

  • Providing accurate information to patients and responding to general enquiries

  • Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and patient-friendly

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a receptionist role, ideally in a healthcare setting

  • EMIS system experience (required)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in general office software and systems

  • A compassionate, patient-focused attitude

  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
