Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Medical Oncologist to provide a comprehensive oncology service for colorectal and breast cancers across Wolverhampton and Russells Hall Hospital. The role includes clinical duties, MDT participation, and leadership in governance and teaching.

The post involves out-of-hours on-call responsibilities, audit and research activities, and collaboration with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care within the Trust’s oncology service.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with license to practise.
• Higher Medical Degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide oncologic care for colorectal and breast cancers.
• Participate in MDT meetings and departmental activities.
• Be available for out-of-hours on-call service for the department.
• Contribute to medical audit and research as appropriate.
• Ensure governance and safety requirements are met.
• Support junior medical staff supervision and teaching duties.
