New Cross Hospital Wolverhampton in the NHS invites a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in colorectal and breast cancers to join a dedicated oncology service. The post provides secretarial support, dedicated office space and IT equipment, with a focus on governance, teaching and supervising junior staff.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues and managers to deliver high quality patient care, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and share on-call duties on a 1 in 12

Responsabilidades

• Provision of Medical Oncology service for colorectal and breast cancers.
• Participation in departmental meetings (Governance, Directorate, Academic, RT QA, Chemotherapy QA, Radiotherapy Planning Forum).
• Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings relevant to the post.
• Joint supervision and development of training and non-training grade posts in the department.
• On-call responsibility: consultants on call one week in 12 (Mon-Sun).
• Supervision and management of junior medical staff with senior colleagues.
• Teaching, examination and accreditation duties for junior medical staff.
• Management and service development responsibilities within the division.
• Develop and implement new ways of working in line with modernisation principles.
