With a well-established clinical laboratory based in Guildford, the company is now expanding its services to include molecular profiling of CTCs and ctDNA using state-of-the-art technologies like digital PCR and NGS. Their innovative system offers significant advancements in cancer diagnostics and personalised medicine, and you’ll be part of a team transforming clinical research.
Job Role
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will join the Clinical Team to support the smooth operation of the laboratory. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including instrument and assay setup, verification and validation of imaging and molecular assays, and data management. You will also be involved in running experiments and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations such as stock control and equipment maintenance.
You will play a key role in supporting the laboratory’s expansion into new diagnostic services, contributing directly to the company’s mission to advance cancer research and personalised medicine. As a key member of the team, you will play an essential role in driving the company’s diagnostic services forward. There are also clear routes of progression in this position due to the current growth plan the company has, giving you the opportunity to progress at an accelerated rate in your career.
About You
You will excel in this role if you hold a BSc or MSc in a Cancer or Oncology related field with at least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. A strong background in molecular assays is essential, or expertise in analysing NGS data and a keen eye for detail.
