Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a laboratory support assistant. Your shifts will be set within a shift system and there will be a requirement to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on rotation with other team members, with plans for a 24/7 rota in progress.

Duties include sample preparation, identification checks and barcode labelling, data entry onto the laboratory computer system, reception and dealing with service users by phone or in person,

Qualifications

• Interest in science and motivation.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• High standard of verbal and written English.
• Keyboard data entry skills and attention to detail.
