Lexington Health’s LH Irmo Lab is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to provide high‑quality laboratory services for inpatients and outpatients. The MLS performs routine and specialty testing to deliver fast, accurate results that support patient care, in alignment with Lexington Medical Center’s mission and policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or active MT/MLS certification in lieu of degree; ASCP/BOC or equivalent licensure required, with a plan to obtain

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated laboratory testing and instrument calibration.
• Collect specimens including venipunctures for patients of various ages.
• Review quality control data and maintain proper records.
• Train new employees or students on procedures and equipment.
