Company Overview:
My client is a worldwide leading manufacturer of technically advanced optical, microscopy and electronic visualisation systems, trusted by scientific and healthcare professionals to deliver 'best in class' product solutions across their key markets, which include life science research and drug discovery, medical systems and semiconductor manufacture.

The Role:
This market-leading optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Medical Field Service Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service, breakdown and repair of leading edge fully networked electronic optical medical systems, with innovative products dedicated to a broad range of medical applications including optometry, dentistry, radiotherapy, surgical microscopy, digital visualisation, neurosurgery and gynaecology.

This role is home based, and will involve travelling to hospitals, healthcare centres and medical establishments throughout the region above, ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are always maintained.

Your Background:
Suitable candidates for this exciting role will need to possess a qualification in electronics, engineering or science, and have experience working as an HM Forces Engineer (REME, Navy or RAF), or an experienced Medical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, working on other high-value capital equipment.

Full and extensive product training will be provided, so whatever your background in service engineering, your application will be considered.

The Benefits:
This is a truly excellent opportunity to join a world-class manufacturer of optical medical systems. You will be joining a national team of engineers who take great pride in their work and who aim to build upon long-term relationships with customers. You will be continually challenged as you are exposed to new technologies.

You will receive constant support and guidance from senior management and your technical knowledge will be furthered through ongoing training courses across a broad range of instrumentation. For those with the desire, there are opportunities to progress your career into more technical specialist roles.

Overall earnings of between £44K and £50K is accompanied by a generous benefits package, which includes a fully expensed company car, life assurance, pension scheme, lunch allowance, laptop, mobile phone and the opportunity to progress your career within a truly market leading technically innovative organisation.
