Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking an experienced Medical Engineering (EBME) Technician to support the safe operation of medical equipment across acute and community hospitals. You will work within the EBME team to repair, calibrate and maintain devices, ensuring patient safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

Professional electronics knowledge to degree level or HNC/HND plus short courses or equivalent training and experience.
Equivalent experience in an electronics repair role.
Served an electronics based apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

The repair, calibration, planned maintenance and commissioning of medical equipment.
Provide advice and support users of medical equipment on the functions and maintenance of devices.
Assist in evaluation of maintenance requirements, investigation of incidents and trial of equipment.
Requisition spares and materials, accept deliveries of materials and equipment booking them in following set procedures.
Maintain knowledge and keep up to date with technical developments.
