Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Advanced Pharmacist: Medical and Pharmacy Education to lead prescribing and therapeutics education for undergraduate medical students, in collaboration with the University of Manchester Medical School.

The post holder will develop, deliver and assess innovative educational programmes, supervise trainee pharmacists, and contribute to advanced clinical pharmacy services across hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering medical/pharmacy education and assessments.
• Ability to supervise trainee pharmacists and coordinate teaching programs.
• Knowledge of safe prescribing and medicines optimisation within a hospital Trust.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Prescribing and Therapeutics Teaching Program.
• Assess medical students through CCAs and PSA.
• Deliver teaching across ward-based, small group, lectures and online modules.
• Provide induction and ongoing training for Trust staff on safe prescribing.
• Supervise trainee pharmacist education and ensure high quality training.
• Deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services in designated wards.
