Job summary

The University of Leicester invites applications for a Teaching-Focused Lecturer at Leicester Medical School on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role will lead the MD003 Principles of Anatomy and Physiology within the A199 Medicine with Foundation Year programme, co-lead the Year 1 Musculoskeletal System Unit, and act as Examination lead for the IUPA assessment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline or MBChB or equivalent.
• Experience teaching and assessing undergraduate students.
• Ability to teach through lectures, seminars and tutoring.
• FHEA or equivalent recognition is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead MD003 Principles of Anatomy and Physiology within the A199 Medicine with Foundation Year programme.
• Co-lead Year 1 Musculoskeletal System Unit within MBChB.
• Act as Examination lead for the Integrated Understanding Practical Assessment (IUPA).
• Plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and respond to student feedback.
