Job summary

Priory Hospital Kemple View in the UK is seeking a Medical Director to provide professional leadership for the medical workforce and to set the clinical direction for the site. You will work closely with the Hospital Director and senior team to drive governance, quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee medical workforce management including appraisals, rotas, leave, recruitment and clinical cover.
• Lead clinical governance, quality improvement and regulatory compliance, including CQC inspections.
• Support and develop medical colleagues through supervision, CPD and development planning.
• Collaborate with the Hospital Director on service improvement and priorities.
• Lead on complex clinical matters and contribute to safe, evidence-based patient care.
• Support organisational change and service development across the hospital.

The Medical Director post sits at Priory Hospital Kemple View, a 90-bed site for adult men offering level 2 rehabilitation and secure mental health services. The role leads the medical workforce and sets clinical direction, working with the Hospital Director and senior team. Its focus is clinical governance, quality improvement and CQC inspections, alongside developing medical colleagues. Fit depends on GMC Specialist Register inclusion and significant senior psychiatry experience.

• Experience managing organisational change and service development
• Understanding of financial management and commercial awareness within healthcare
