Job summary

Randstad Business Support - London seeks a Product Investigation Engineer to lead root-cause failure investigations on blood glucose monitoring platforms in Witney. You will collaborate with R&D and Operations to eliminate failure modes on current and future on-market designs.

The role requires a degree in engineering or science and experience in failure investigation, GMP awareness, and the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Scientific degree or equivalent background.
• Direct experience in design, development, or technical failure investigation.
• Understanding GMP and lab best practices; writing/implementing qualification procedures.
• Able to read schematics, use diagnostic equipment, and navigate MS Word/Excel and quality databases.
• Autonomous, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute root-cause failure investigations on returned medical device products.
• Safely troubleshoot complaint returns to determine root causes using equipment and software.
• Be accountable for the quality and efficiency of investigations in line with procedures.
• Visually inspect parts and perform measurements per procedures.
• Operate manufacturing and basic laboratory equipment per SOPs.
• Support investigation procedures and troubleshooting methodologies for complex failures.
