Job summary

Johnson & Johnson invites aspiring engineers and designers to join its 12-month internship in Leeds, UK. You will gain exposure to medical device design, product development, and hands-on testing across teams such as Hip New Product Development, Knee New Product Development, and Design Quality.

You'll work with CAD tools, learn from mentors, and contribute to project planning, validation, and documentation while exploring opportunities in health tech innovation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of degree level study completed in Engineering, Data Science, or Design.
• First year GPA at least 2:1 (or equivalent) aims for strong academic performance.
• Open to students in Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials, Product Design or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and contribute to design development for medical devices.
• Assist in product testing using engineering lab equipment and CAD models.
• Help with validation activities and development of test methods and protocols.
• Collaborate with Design, Bioengineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Testing teams.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and prototypes and liaise with suppliers as needed.
• Gain exposure to orthopedic devices and the regulatory documentation process.
