Job summary

J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) is seeking a Media Relations professional in London to support Investment Banking coverage and coordinate with global Communications colleagues.

You will engage with financial journalists, craft timely commentary, write pitches for thought leadership, manage media interviews, and deliver regular reporting to measure impact and risk compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• News sense in financial services; ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience in media relations preferred (agency or in-house).

Responsibilities

• Support proactive and reactive media engagement for the firm’s Investment Banking businesses.
• Establish, develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with key financial journalists and helping them with commentary.
• Serve as counsel to spokespeople on media strategy and messaging.
• Source comment opportunities and write pitches for thought leadership in financial media.
• Engage with broadcast and print media around Investor conferences.
• Manage logistics for media interviews and support spokespeople with messaging and media training.
• Collaborate across the organisation on internal communications, social media and content development.
• Create analysis and reporting for the regional Communications team; maintain media lists.
• Handle audit and Compliance requirements for pre-approvals, disclosures and logging of appearances.
