Main Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Media Relations Manager, based in Geneva, to help drive our media relations and communications strategy. The successful candidate will work with the Global Head of Media Relations to develop strong relationships with reporters and publications and ensure the effective delivery of key messages across different platforms and channels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape brand identity and enhance perceptions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5 years of experience in media relations, either in-house at a multi-national organization or at a consultancy working with multi-national organizations, with a proven track record of delivering results
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms, media/digital channels monitoring tools, and analytics
- Financial media relations experience, with the ability to understand company financial statements
- Knowledge of the commodities or natural resources sector is a plus but not mandatory
Skills and Expertise:
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong collaboration skills working with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, commercial teams, and external agencies
- English as mother tongue; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement media, social media, and communication strategies aligned with company goals and branding
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets for accurate coverage
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials
- Coordinate with commercial teams on external communication approaches
- Organize and manage media engagements such as press events, interviews, and summits
- Monitor media coverage, track performance metrics, and prepare reports for senior management
- Assist in crisis communication and respond to media inquiries under tight deadlines
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activities to identify new engagement opportunities
