Job description

Fulham Football Club is looking for a Media Relations Executive to support with Media Relations within the Communications department.

This role will sit within our communications department and offer full-time support to the Head of Media Relations and Communications Director, as well as administrative support to the wider team which includes content provision.

The Media Relations Executive will be responsible for administering the media accreditation for all home fixtures at Craven Cottage as well as managing the matchday Media Office on the day of the game. There will opportunities to supervise media interviews and chaperone film crews during the week at Motspur Park as well as any offsite requirements. Administration duties for the Communications department will include booking travel and accreditation for away matches for the communications team. There will also be opportunities to assist the Head of Media Relations and/or Communications Director at away fixtures throughout the season.

Job responsibilities

The following is a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:

  • General administrative duties for the Communications department
  • Collating the media accreditation requests for all home matches at Craven Cottage via the Premier League iPBS system in the days prior to the game
  • Creating plans for media areas and checking all relevant media areas on the morning of the match days
  • Working home matchdays, managing the media desk and issuing accreditation to media
  • Liaising with other departments at the Club ahead of the matches to gather specific photography requests and then liaising with Club photographer to ensure they are briefed on the requirements
  • Proactively arranging travel and accommodation for Communications department at away matches, including match day accreditation
  • Support in supervising media interviews and filming at Craven Cottage, Motspur Park or offsite locations around London
  • Away match work to support the Head of Media Relations and / or Communications Director
  • Support other areas of the department as required, this may include supporting with social media, content and video

This role requires a commitment to working flexibility in line with the football calendar - i.e. matches on Saturday, Sunday, midweek evenings as well as occasional overnight stays across the country following evening games. This role will also require a level of independent working at times.
