Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - FM Provider - Days - Commercial Office - Hammersmith, West London £45,000

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Provider based in Hammersmith, West London. My client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial building in the City of London. The successful candidates will be mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a critical site (e.g., bank, data centre, blue-chip office, etc.). Working with the maintenance team on site, the candidate should have experience carrying out mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric duties. The company offers a competitive salary of £45,000, along with further training and career progression.

Key Duties:

• Respond to Service Desk reactive tasks as directed in accordance with SLAs
• Assist in ensuring plant rooms are tidy and presentable, reporting any issues for rectification
• Undertake reactive maintenance, minor works, and public health maintenance including blocked toilets
• Investigate and rectify hot & cold air conditioning complaints, including operation of the BMS and LCS
• Complete water treatment tasks in accordance with L8, utilising water treatment logbooks, and report issues promptly
• Perform minor fabric maintenance works such as painting and furniture moving, ensuring materials are ordered timely
• Carry out minor mechanical installations as requested and supervised
• Identify, manage, and report risks, accidents, or near misses promptly
• Work with and escort contractors during maintenance visits, ensuring safety guidelines are followed
• Respond quickly to building alarms from the helpdesk or BMS, escalate as needed, and record reactive tasks
• Uphold company integrity and provide high levels of customer service

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00

Requirements

• Mechanically qualified Level 2 / 3 / HNC / HND
• Ability to provide copies of trade certificates (Essential)
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Excellent customer service skills
