Job summary

ROSEN in Newcastle is seeking a Mechatronics Technician to maintain, overhaul, modify, and test high-tech inspection equipment. You will assess system conditions, perform modifications or repairs, and assemble/calibrate equipment prior to release and commissioning.

The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, with opportunities for training, international travel, and collaboration with expert teams across the globe.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical engineering, machine building, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Troubleshooting skills – determine causes of operating errors and make sound decisions about next actions.
• Mechanical aptitude – strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, and maintenance.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage but not required.
• Good communication skills both written and spoken.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required.
• Willingness to travel on short business trips/training overseas within short notice.

• Assess condition of inspection systems and perform modifications/repairs.
• Assemble, test, and calibrate inspection equipment prior to release and commissioning.
