Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Services Technician (Mechatronics) to diagnose, repair and maintain production assets and equipment across our site.

You will work with the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineer, use precision diagnostic instruments, and contribute to KPI data analysis while following HSE standards. This hands-on role offers training and opportunities for growth in a world-class manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation.
• Basic IT literacy.
• Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on manufacturing assets.
• Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance.
• Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective maintenance approach.
• Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of KPIs for the Manufacturing Services Department.
• Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, diagrams, manuals, and catalogs for maintenance and diagnostics.
• Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise electrical installation/maintenance strategy.
• Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance with Production Staff and Leaders.
• Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment performance to standard.
• Support equipment OEM engineers as required.
• Consistently perform asset maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Support induction and cross-training of team members.
• Utilise problem solving to make sound recommendations based on training and experience.
• Process Work Orders and pull reports from the CMMS.
• Safely operate site equipment with appropriate training.
