Job summary

Chemify Ltd is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to work across mechanics, electronics and firmware on a robotic synthesis platform. You will design and integrate motion and actuation systems that carry out chemistry from concept through prototyping to reliable operation.

You will operate at the interface of mechanical, electronic and software design to turn code into molecules, collaborating with teams to ensure robust, integrated modules and cross‑disciplinary standards.

Qualifications

• Proven significant experience in mechatronics, robotics, or electromechanical systems engineering.
• Two or more of: mechanical design, electronics, motion control, embedded firmware.
• Hands‑on experience selecting and integrating motors, drives, sensors, actuators.
• Practical bring‑up, testing, and debugging of electromechanical systems.
• Comfort collaborating across mechanical, electronics, and firmware teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate mechatronic subsystems across mechanical, electronic, and firmware domains.
• Select and integrate motors, drives, sensors, and actuators; tune for real‑world performance.
• Prototype, bring up, and test electromechanical systems; debug across disciplines.
• Partner with mechanical, electronics, firmware, and controls engineers on integrated modules.
• Support characterisation, calibration, and reliability of motion systems.
• Contribute to design reviews and cross‑disciplinary standards.
