Job summary

Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead teams tasked with creating electrical installations models and detailed drawings for new aerospace cabin interior designs. You will manage KPIs, review design work for compliance, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive aerospace experience, and excellent English communication. Hybrid work is offered with 2–3 days in Cwmbran and 2–3 days from home.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace/Automotive Electrical Engineering roles.
• Proficient in Mechatronics and electrical routing design.
• Strong ability to read design drawings and specifications.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Job description

In order to develop and expand the capabilities of Safran Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support developments of Aerospace Cabin interior activities.

You will be responsible for the management of teams producing electrical installations models and detail drawings for new product and platform designs, so you must be an experienced line manager and used to managing KPIs.

You will also be responsible for the checking and approval of all electrical design work to meet company, regulatory and customer requirements so stakeholder management and excellent communciation skills are vital.

• Experience within Aerospace / Automotive sector in an Electrical Engineering role
• Experience in Mechatronics
• Excellent knowledge of CATIA V5
• Ability to read design drawings and specifications
• Experience with electrical routing design and installations
• Team Management / Line Management experience
• Excellent spoken and written English

• 185 hours holiday per year plus statutory bank holidays
