ETS Consulting Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to support a leading FMCG producer on a fast-paced packaging line. You will perform planned and preventative maintenance on blow moulding, flow wrappers, labeling and conveyors, ensuring maximum line efficiency.
The role requires an apprentice-trained mechanical engineer with hydraulic and automated machinery experience, able to fault-find and work in a team or autonomously.

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working within a high speed automated environment. There will be lots of fast moving machinery such as blow moulding machines, flow wrappers and labelling machines, together with packaging and conveyor systems. The successful candidate will also provide technical expertise and support regarding pipe work rationalisation and steel fabrication using specialist welding skills.
In addition, you will need the ability to work within a team or autonomously as required. You will also have a strong multi-skilled background with the ability to fault find on a variety of production equipment.
