Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering/mechanical subjects.
• Proficient in PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Load testing of generators from 20-2000KVA.
• Conduct major engine repairs and overhauls.
• Assess genset condition upon returning fleet.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Workshop Engineer based at our Swindon site.

What you’ll do:

• Load testing of generators 20-2000KVA
• Major engine repairs and overhauls
• Assess genset condition upon returning fleet to SRC
• Modification/upgrades to genset fleet
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
• Knowledge of engine ECM programming/diagnostics (advantageous)
• Programming of control modules

The above duties represent the core focus of the role. From time to time, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties within your abilities to support other areas of the business.

Skills and experience:

• Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering/mechanical subjects (including apprenticeships)
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Proficient in PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications
• Well organised, capable of maintaining vehicle standards to GSCS
