East West Connect is seeking a technically strong manager to lead the Water Services team, overseeing reactive, planned and small works while ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality delivery across water hygiene, plumbing, drainage and water treatment. You will manage audits, records and client-facing documentation in commercial and domestic environments.

The role requires leadership experience, deep knowledge of ACOP L8/HSG274/BS 8580, CAFM/CMMS proficiency and a full driving licence.

Formación

• HNC/HND in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 5+.
• Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 and BS 8580; water hygiene compliance.
• Experience leading water services in occupied commercial or domestic buildings.
• NVQ Level 5+ and full clean driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of Plumbers, Water Hygiene Technicians, Pump Engineers and Drainage Engineers
• Senior technical lead for water hygiene, plumbing, drainage and water treatment
• Ensure compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and BS 8580-1
• Oversee audits, monitoring records, sampling data, logbooks and remedial actions
• Manage maintenance and remedial works across hot/cold water systems, drainage networks, booster sets, TMVs, calorifiers, tanks and expansion vessels
• Support investigations into incidents, non-conformances and recurring technical issues
• Maintain asset and compliance records using CAFM/CMMS systems
• Prepare quotations, reports and client-facing technical documentation
• Promote high standards of health and safety, quality and continuous improvement

Scope

You will provide leadership and technical oversight for the Water Services department, ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality delivery across reactive, planned preventative and small works. The role covers water hygiene, plumbing, drainage, pumps and associated compliance activities in commercial and domestic environments.

Skills

We are looking for someone with:

• HNC/HND in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 5 or above
• Strong working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, BS 8580 and water hygiene compliance
• Experience managing water services in occupied commercial or domestic buildings
• Knowledge of pumps, plumbing systems, drainage and closed-loop water systems
• Strong leadership, reporting and client communication skills
• Experience managing subcontractors, compliance records and quality standards
• Experience using CAFM/CMMS systems desirable
• Knowledge of SFG20 maintenance schedules desirable
• Commercial health and safety awareness desirable
• Full clean driving licence essential

Duties

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of Plumbers, Water Hygiene Technicians, Pump Engineers and Drainage Engineers
• Acting as the senior technical lead for water hygiene, plumbing, drainage, pumps and water treatment
• Ensuring full compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, BS 8580-1 and Water Supply Regulations
• Overseeing audits, monitoring records, sampling data, logbooks and remedial actions
• Managing maintenance and remedial works across hot and cold water systems, drainage networks, booster sets, pressurisation units, TMVs, calorifiers, tanks and expansion vessels
• Supporting investigations into incidents, non-conformances and recurring technical issues
• Maintaining accurate asset and compliance records using CAFM/CMMS systems
• Preparing quotations, reports and client-facing technical documentation
• Promoting high standards of health and safety, quality and continuous improvement
