Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Mechanical Test Technician to join a leading engineering manufacturer in Gloucestershire. This hands-on role involves preparation, rigging, testing and inspection of complex mechanical equipment, ensuring performance, safety and quality before release.

You'll work within an experienced operations team, with opportunities for training and career development. The role suits someone with manufacturing, engineering, assembly or rotating equipment

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 2 years in manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fitting or testing skills.
• Experience following engineering procedures and technical documentation.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and rig mechanical equipment for testing.
• Conduct performance and operational testing in line with documented procedures.
• Record, analyse and report test data accurately.
• Assess equipment against performance criteria and determine pass/fail status.
• Investigate and report any faults or non-conformances identified during testing.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with witnessed inspections and acceptance testing when required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain testing equipment and work areas to a high standard.
