Mechanical Test Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Test Technician to join a leading Engineering company based in Portsmouth.

Introduction

To perform short and long-term mechanical testing operations on composite, polymeric and metallic specimens, and assemblies, working to project plans and timescales.

Ideal Experience

The Mechanical Test Technician role would suit someone with a Mechanical background in either Assembly, Fitting or Maintenance looking to advance their skills. Someone that has good problem solving skills, works well in a team with strong time management and communication skills. IT literacy will also be required due to the documentation of the tests so ideally needing Word and Excel skills.

Desirable

Any experience of working with instrumentation, installation of sensors, fitting gauges onto components, fault finding, testing, calibration and maintaining test equipment would be an advantage.
