Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Mechanical Engineering & Test Engineering Manager to lead a small specialist team across mechanical production engineering and test engineering. You will troubleshoot production issues, drive improvements to test methods and fixtures, and lead projects to modernise legacy test-bed methodologies.

The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership, focusing on reducing cycle times, increasing production efficiency and ensuring production readiness in collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, manufacturing or test engineering background.
• Experience in an OEM, manufacturing or product-based environment.
• Previous technical/team leadership experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with production testing, test equipment or test rigs.
• Experience working with manufacturing partners or contract manufacturers.
• Practical, proactive approach with the ability to lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a small engineering team.
• Troubleshooting production issues, field failures and customer escalations.
• Developing and improving production test methods, test rigs and equipment.
• Leading a major project to modernise legacy test-bed methodology.
• Improving test cycle times, production efficiency and diagnostic capability.
• Supporting NPI, design transfer and production readiness.
• Working with manufacturing partners on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
