Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Chesterfield. You will work on dewatering equipment across sites, carrying out inspections, services and repairs and supporting pump and valve maintenance.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and experience in an industrial environment or a recent mechanical engineering qualification. You will be part of a team, with standby and occasional away-from-home work, contributing to safe, efficient plant operation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and experience in an industrial environment.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in mechanical engineering maintenance or equivalent.
• Desirable: Confined Space Training and First Aid trained.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair dewatering machines at customer sites.
• Assist mechanical repairs to pumps, pipework and valves on site.
• Support pipework installations using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials.
• Provide standby cover and overtime as required, including travel away from home.
• Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Liaise with on-site customer teams and act as the on-site contact.
