Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for dewatering and maintenance solutions, working mobile across South England. You will join a pro-active team supporting water company wastewater sites, with a 40-hour week and a competitive package including a company vehicle.

The role offers extensive training, career development, and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Applicants should have hands-on maintenance experience and relevant mechanical qualifications.

Qualifications

  • NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Hands-on engineering maintenance experience essential.
  • Clean Water and SHEA Water qualifications advantageous.
  • PASMA, Compex, First Aid and Confined Space training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements on dewatering equipment.
  • Undertake mechanical repairs and modifications to dewatering assets, pumps, pipework and valves.
  • Perform inspections, services and repairs on customers' dewatering assets.
  • Lead safe and compliant maintenance tasks and generate installation certificates and reports.
  • Work across multiple sites with on-site customer teams and liaise as first point of contact.
