The role involves working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We are seeking 3 Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for the estates day shift to perform reactive and preventative maintenance across the hospital campus.
Candidates should be experienced mechanical engineers, qualified to HNC level or working towards it, with at least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience. The primary focus is on mechanical tasks, but the role also involves working within a multi-skilled team, delivering technical services across building disciplines such as HVAC, hot water, ventilation, pressure, and medical gas systems. Flexibility across trades is essential to maintain high standards of service.
The successful candidates will also participate in training and mentoring apprentices and trainees, collaborating with managers to develop training programs.
