Job Title: Mechanical Technician - Bioresources

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Bioresources

Salary: Circa £45k depending on experience (includes 15% shift allowance) + overtime available

Hours: Full time, 40.25 hours per week on a 7-day working pattern

Type: Permanent

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Bioresources Operations Manager, you will be part of a site maintenance team responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing planned and proactive maintenance on equipment. Your role supports operational teams to ensure the safe operation of Bioresources and Water Recycling assets, contributing to environmental protection and sustainability goals, including renewable energy production and bioresource management.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in mechanical engineering or equivalent, or relevant apprenticeship
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in inspecting and maintaining gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, valves, and centrifuges
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Knowledge of gas and steam systems is desirable (training provided)
• Flexible and resilient approach to work, training, and adapting to business needs
