Product Design Engineer

Darwen, Blackburn

Up to £32,000 (DOE) + Early Finish Fridays + Excellent Company Benefits

Do you hold experience within a Product Design role and come from a Manufacturing background? Do you want to join a well-established global design and manufacturing firm who offer a brilliant package and company benefits?

This company are a family-owned, independently run and global design-led business who hold an impressive status as one of the world's largest furniture designers and manufacturers. They provide their services to a variety of sectors, including Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Corporate and Home. They design and create furniture for some of the most known companies across the globe, including Google, HSBC, Jaguar Land Rover and Rolls Royce.

In this role you will be responsible for developing new products from concept through to completion and assist with the research and development for new, inspiring product ideas. The individual will also focus on analysing existing products with a view to improving their efficiently and overall performance whilst providing technical support where needs. You will receive internal and informal training, lead by the existing team and Design & Development Manager, where needed to upskill yourself and have the opportunity to progress internally overtime.

The ideal candidate will hold some level of knowledge and experience within a Product Design Engineer role come from a manufacturing background. You should hold a positive and collaborative attitude to promote and engage in a strong team culture.

The Role:
* Introduce design and production concepts through innovative products and collaborative projects.
* Manage the product development process for those projects where the Design Engineer is project champion.
* Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm with a 2:30pm early finish every Friday.
* Training and progression available with a growing company.

The Person:
* Proven experience within a Product Design Engineering role.
* Comes from a manufacturing background.
* Holds driving licence and lives within a commutable distance to Darwen, Blackburn
