Mechanical Technician (Workshop Engineer/Vehicle Technician)

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

A GBP 31,000 : A GBP 40,500 Starting Salary + 6 Employer/4 Employee Pension + Overtime at Time 1.5 and 2.0 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Discount Benefits Scheme + Uniform

Monday to Friday 8am or 9am to 4.30 or 5.30pm

Monday to Friday 40 or 45 Hour Contracts Available

The Mechanical Technician role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. Automotive technicians/motor trade applicants will also be very suitable. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

Youll form part of a highly skilled team in a very reputable business. Youll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown on a range of forklifts. Youll order any spares when needed and communicate progress.

The Mechanical Technician Role In Brief

• Carry out PDIs, service and repair work on workshop and service basis on a range of forklift trucks.
