Important

The Role

The post holder will be an experienced and skilled technician undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on an aircraft or aircraft component.

At this level, the post holder requires a good understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work unaided using approved data, maintenance instructions, and in accordance with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).

Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will include, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Performance indicators - Ensure effective delivery of Part 145 activities by meeting targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness. Understand how individual actions contribute to overall performance.
2. Completion of activities - Ensure all Part 145 activities are properly documented and airworthiness records maintained. Compile reports, identify issues, and escalate as needed.
3. Procedure/standards - Comply with the Part 145 Exposition, procedures, standards, and other applicable company procedures. Propose changes as necessary.
4. Safety Management System - Apply Human Factors and Error Management philosophies to all activities. Understand associated risks and mitigation strategies.
5. Management System Assurance - Ensure compliance with AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, support audits, and respond to findings promptly. Support improvements to address non-compliance and monitor effectiveness.
6. Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements - Demonstrate understanding and application of relevant Continuing Airworthiness regulations. Support regulatory changes and ensure compliance with other requirements such as ITAR, EaPW, ISO.
7. Contractual Requirements - Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, supporting contract reviews and incorporating necessary changes into processes.

What are BAE Systems looking for from you?

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Military equivalent qualifications.
• Academic qualification of minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.
• Aircraft platform training (on aircraft requirement)
• Typically 3+ years of experience, fully competent with all required authorities.
• Demonstrated breadth of systems experience, currency, and recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) showing skills, knowledge, and authorities for working on aircraft or in workshops.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e., the rate paid to the Umbrella Company inclusive of all employment costs).
