Job summary

Mech Tech Professionals in Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join an Energy from Waste facility. You will maintain and repair mechanical plant to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Key duties include planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and supporting outages, plant improvements and compliance with health & safety records. Candidates with power generation or heavy industry experience, strong problem solving, and good communication will

Mechanical Technician – Gloucestershire – Up to £48,675 DOE plus excellent benefits

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: Up to £48,675 DOE plus excellent benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join an Energy from Waste facility in Gloucestershire, responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical plant to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, boilers, turbines, generators and ancillary plant.
• Support maintenance planning, plant improvements and outage activities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and accurate maintenance records.

Requirements:

• Mechanical maintenance experience in power generation or heavy industry, or as a time-served Armed Forces engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to support on-call duties and overtime.
