Job summary

MC Technical Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a power station in Gloucester. The role is full time, days based with an on-call rota, offering a basic salary up to £48,000 plus benefits.

The successful candidate will perform maintenance on boilers, steam turbines and conveyors, support outage activities, and work closely with the Mechanical Engineer on planning and plant improvements while ensuring health and safety compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship)
• Experience in power generation, EfW, oil, biomass or marine sectors
• Experience maintaining mechanical process equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, HVAC, conveyors)
• Knowledge of health, safety & environmental legislation

• Carry out routine and emergent maintenance on boilers, steam turbines & conveyors
• Maintain mechanical plant and support outages/planning

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, to work in a power station located in Gloucester. Our client is a leading organisation within their sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Technician to join their team in a full time, days based role with an on-call rota.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Routine & emerging maintenance tasks on boilers, steam turbines & conveyor systems
• Maintenance of mechanical plant
• Assisting the Mechanical Engineer with planning
• Managing selected plant improvements
• Supporting annual outages & apprentices
• Promoting H&S compliance at all times
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A relevant engineering qualified (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
• Proven experience in power generation, EfW, oil, biomass or marine or similar sector )
• Experience of carrying out maintenance on mechanical process equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, HVAC systems & conveyors, etc.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
• Marine Engineers with experience of working on plant will also be considered for this role
