A leading company in the waste-to-energy sector is seeking a Contract Mechanical Technician for a 5-month role in Bicester. The position involves working with heavy machinery and various mechanical systems, requiring strong maintenance experience. This contract offers a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional backshifts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance experience in waste-to-energy or similar industries.
• Physically capable of working with heavy machinery.
• Experience with steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of mechanical systems including steam boilers and turbines.
• Perform maintenance on large industrial equipment.
• Respond to callouts as required.

We’re hiring for a Waste-to-Energy facility in Bicester (OX278AT)

Monday – Friday: 07:00 - 15:30

One week in four: Backshift 12:00 - 20:30 + 24-hour callout (must be within 1-hour of site)

? Duration: 5month contract (unlikely to extend)

? Requirements:

MUST HAVE WORK PERMITS FOR THE UK

Strong mechanical maintenance experience in waste-to-energy or similar industries.

Physically capable of working with heavy machinery – Large industrial equipment

Working with a variety of mechanical systems, including:

• Steam boilers
• Pumps and gearboxes
• Valves and hydraulic systems
• Pneumatic and compressed air systems
• Conveyors and cranes
• Turbines and associated components
