Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Team Leader in Rochester to guide a engineering team in development, integration, and operation of mechanical systems. You will mentor engineers, manage risks, and oversee project estimates, plans and execution.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with a proven track record in product development from concept to production and experience leading teams. CAD tools such as CREO, TeamCenter, DOORs, and JIRA are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record leading engineers and projects.
• Experience with product development from concept to production.
• CAD tooling proficiency with CREO; familiarity with TeamCenter/DOORS/JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present Mechanical Development Plans and Design Scheme Data Packs for reviews.
• Peer-check designs, calculations and technical reports.
• Chair design review panels at functional and project levels.
• Prepare project plans, direct team implementation and monitor budgets.
• Develop resource plans and allocate Mechanical Engineering resources.
