Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader for Ellesmere Port in a days-based 8-4 role. You will lead a mechanical maintenance team in a manufacturing environment, delivering planned, preventative and corrective maintenance and driving safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

The role includes managing CMMS entries, stores and spares, and coordinating contractors to complete work safely within scope and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade-based apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial settings.
• Experience leading a team and supervising contractors.
• Motivated to develop knowledge of renewable energy with provided training.

Days Based Role (8-4 Monday-Friday)

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing background looking for a days-based (Monday-Friday 8-4) leadership role where you can take ownership of maintenance activities and develop a high-performing team?

Do you want to move into the renewable energy industry, with full training provided to develop your knowledge of renewable fuels and contribute to the UK energy transition?

This business is an established operator within renewable fuels / waste-to-energy processing, known for investing in safe, reliable operations. Due to continued requirements across the site, they are looking to add an experienced mechanical leader who can bring strong team management skills and manufacturing maintenance experience, with industry-specific training provided.

In this role you will oversee planned, corrective and preventative maintenance schedules, keep the CMMS updated with accurate work history, manage stores and critical spares processes, and coordinate contractors to ensure work is completed safely, within scope and to quality standards.

This role would suit a trade-trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Team Leader with experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment who enjoys leading from the front, developing engineers, and taking the next step into the renewable energy sector.

The Role:

• Monday-Friday days based role (8-4)
• Lead a team delivering planned, preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance
• Manage maintenance activity through the CMMS, ensuring tasks are closed with accurate history
• Oversee stores / spares processes and drive continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Manage contractors and support shutdowns/outages and call-out rota as required

The Person:

• Trade-based apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
• Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, industrial or process environment
• Experience leading a team and/or supervising contractors
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement
• Motivated to develop knowledge of the renewable energy industry, with sector-specific training provided
